Punjab, Bathinda: As part of the ongoing efforts to tackle the rising concerns related to drug abuse in the region, the Bathinda Police intensified their anti-drug campaign with targeted actions. The Station House Officer (SHO) of Police Station (PS) Dyalpura, in close collaboration with the Drug Inspector, carried out detailed surprise inspections of various medical stores across the area.
The primary objective of these checks was to ensure that all medical establishments comply with the legal and regulatory frameworks governing the sale of pharmaceuticals. The inspections aimed to identify and prevent any illegal practices, such as the unauthorized sale of restricted drugs or substances being misused for non-medical purposes.
This initiative reflects a proactive approach by the police and health authorities to dismantle any channels contributing to the drug trade in the region. By targeting the supply chain at its roots, these inspections serve as a critical step in eliminating the availability of illicit drugs.
The Bathinda Police emphasized that such coordinated efforts are part of a broader strategy to eradicate the drug menace and safeguard the health and well-being of the community. Similar surprise checks are expected to continue, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to curbing illegal activities and maintaining strict vigilance over pharmaceutical outlets.
