The Government of Puducherry has conveyed to the Police Establishment Board on 14.3.2023 for the grant of First Financial Up-gradation under MACP Scheme to 537 Nos. of Police Personnel working in the Police Department, Union Territory of Puducherry according to their suitability with effect from the dates noted against each in the Annexure. It stated that the employees shall have the option to exercise within one month from the date of issue of this financial up-gradation order under MACP Scheme to get their pay fixed under the provisions of FR 22 (l) (a) (I).
In case of failure to exercise their option within the prescribed time limit, the pay will be fixed as per rules in force by the respective Establishment Section of Police Department, Union Territory of Puducherry and other Units/departments. They will not be entitled for any further fixation on functional promotion to the higher post. In the event of denial of regular promotion, their subsequent Financial Up-gradation will get postponed.
