. The accused, Mahipal Reddy, 36 had come to Bengaluru for work and decided to visit Brigade Road. The police said that he was intoxicated when he approached a software engineer and his wife as they passed by. He began following the couple and started taking photos of the woman with his mobile phone. On seeing that she was being photographed the woman alerted her husband who confronted Reddy and demanded that the photos be deleted. The accused locked his phone and refused to do so. Meanwhile a crowd had gathered around them, and one of them alerted the police. On the complaint filed by the woman’s husband, the accused was charged for sexual harassment, criminal intimidation and intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace.
