Karnataka, Bengaluru: An 11-year-old student named Ashwin suffered a broken tooth after allegedly being struck in the face by his teacher at a school in Jayanagar, Bengaluru. The incident occurred on November 7 when Ashwin approached teacher Asmat to report that his classmates were throwing adhesive and water in the classroom. Instead of addressing the situation, the teacher reportedly responded by hitting the sixth-grade student with a stick.
Following the incident, the school management took the injured student to a hospital for treatment and apologized to the parents. The student’s father, Anil Kumar V. Pai, filed a formal complaint, leading to an FIR being registered against the teacher. Police officials confirmed that the accused teacher’s statement has been recorded, and she was subsequently released on station bail.
