Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka: As part of the effective implementation of the “Bhadrabalya” project in Chikkamagaluru district, a special training programme for Child Welfare Police Officers was conducted today at the Zilla Panchayat Hall.
The training was organized jointly by the District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, Police Department, District Legal Services Authority, and the Women and Child Development Department, highlighting a coordinated approach towards child protection and welfare.
During the programme, Mr. Rohit C. G., Police Trainer, NJPU–CID Division, Bengaluru, provided in-depth guidance to the officers on the Juvenile Justice Act and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. He emphasized the legal responsibilities of police officers, child-friendly procedures, and the importance of sensitivity while handling cases involving children.
The programme strengthened the capacity of child welfare police officers and reaffirmed the district’s commitment to protecting children’s rights, ensuring legal compliance, and delivering effective and compassionate policing under the Bhadrabalya initiative.
