Alirajpur: On August 03, under the Azadnagar police station area of the district, the police got information that Naveen Baser’s father Kanhaiyalal Baser, 38 years old, resident of Dahod Road, town Azadnagar, is setting up an illegal spurious liquor factory in his house.
On the basis of the information, verification was done by the police station in-charge Azadnagar Inspector Mr. Kailash Baria. After verification, it was found that Naveen Baser has built two floors below his house. On the first floor of his house, he stores Mahua of his business and on the second floor he has set up a factory to make spurious illicit liquor. To go to the second basement, a wardrobe has been made on the wall of the room and a lift has been made inside it. Ongoing down the elevator, 11 liquid drums were found in the basement.
About 2200 liters of illegal spirit (which is likely to be methanol) was seized in each drum of 200 liters. Apart from this, 81 kg of liquor bottle caps in four big bags, a large quantity of Royal Select King Whiskey labels, bundles of cartoons, holograms, RO machine, water motor, and a large machine attached to the RO machine, which is used to make spurious liquor were recovered. The total value of the confiscated material is around Rs.6 lakh.
The police arrested the accused Naveen Baser and his wife Vishakha and registered the crime in the Azadnagar police station and the accused have been taken for the investigation. Superintendent of Police Alirajpur Mr.Vijay Bhagwani IPS said that research is being done on the source/destination of the confiscated material as well as other points which is under police investigation in the case.
