Kottayam: The Kottayam Police have nabbed a large number of lottery players from a tourist home in Erattupetta. Aji (48) from Vannappuram, Idukki, Siraj (46) from Erattupetta and Shafeer from Kakkanad, Ernakulam. Aliyar (42), Reji (46) from Kanjirapally, and Kasim (52) from Idukki were arrested and Rs.2.86 lakh and 5 mobile phones were also seized from their hands.
As per the instructions of the District Police Chief Ms. Shilpa D IPS, Inspector Mr. S.M. Pradeep Kumar had formed a special team to investigate. Mr. VB Anas, Sub-Inspector, Erattupetta Police Station; Mr. Jayachandran, Mr. Jayaprakash, A.S. I. Mr. Vinayaraj, senior civil police officer Mr. Jinu and Mr. Shijo Vijayan civil police officer and Mr.Thomas were also in the group.
