Begusarai: Begusarai is the administrative headquarters of the Begusarai district, which is one of the thirty-eight districts of the Indian state of Bihar. The district lies on the northern bank of river Ganga. It is located at latitudes 25.15N & 25.45N and longitudes 85.45E & 86.36E. It was established in 1870. It covers an area of 1,918 km².
After the murder of the BJP leader a case was registered in the Mufassil and Matihani police station. On receiving the complaint the police officials conducted the investigations and found that the criminals involved in the murder are 4 and the police launched a manhunt for the accused. After some time the Begusarai district police arrested the 4 persons involved in the murder of the BJP leader about 3-4 days ago. The police also recovered weapons used in the murder from the possession of the criminals.
