Bilaspur: The Bilaspur Police have ramped up their efforts to tackle anti-social activities, specifically targeting individuals responsible for violent acts, such as knife attacks, in public venues like bars. As part of this intensified campaign, the Civil Line Police Station took swift action in response to a recent stabbing incident that occurred at Silver Oak Bar. During the operation, two individuals accused of being directly involved in the stabbing were apprehended. A sharp-edged knife, believed to have been used in the assault, was confiscated from the possession of the accused.
In addition to the arrests, the police launched a separate investigation into the bar’s management and staff, particularly the bouncers and employees present at the time of the incident. It was found that they had failed to promptly report the violent altercation to the authorities, which could have hindered the investigation and response. As a result, preventive measures and legal actions were initiated against them, highlighting the police’s focus not only on the perpetrators but also on those who neglect their duty to ensure public safety.
This comprehensive crackdown is part of a broader initiative by the Bilaspur Police to curb rising incidents of violence and maintain law and order, particularly in places where alcohol is served, and altercations are more likely to occur.
