Bilaspur: In Bilaspur, a city located in the state of Chhattisgarh, the Superintendent of Police, Mr. Santosh Singh IPS, has taken an initiative to combat the rising issue of drug addiction in the district. As a part of this initiative, a campaign called “Nijat Abhiyan” has been launched to create awareness and curb the use of drugs in the community.
To implement this campaign effectively, a meeting was held in the Railway Bengali School of the railway area, which was attended by children and teachers. The meeting was presided over by the DRM (Divisional Railway Manager) of Bilaspur, with the station in-charge of Torwa and CSP (Circle Superintendent of Police) of Kotwali also present.
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the issue of drug addiction and devise ways to prevent it from spreading further in the district. The attendees of the meeting discussed various measures that could be taken to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drugs and how to prevent young people from getting involved in drug use.
The initiative taken by the Superintendent of Police and the participation of children and teachers in this meeting shows the seriousness of the issue of drug addiction in Bilaspur. It also indicates the proactive approach of the authorities in taking measures to create a drug-free environment in the community.
