Bengaluru: The Bitcoin scam seems to have got a revival in the Congress government of the state. The state government has ordered a re-investigation by a special investigation team (SIT probe) into the Bitcoin scam.
As the first step in the case, Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Dayanand had written a letter to the Director General of Police Alok Mohan. Later, Alok Mohan informed the government through a letter. After this, the government has demanded a re-investigation.
Home Minister Dr G Parameshwar told reporters that ADGP Manish Karbikar will lead the investigation. Speaking at Vidhansouda, he said, “We had previously accused the BJP government of being a scam involving millions of crores of rupees in the matter of Bitcoin. He said that now we have decided to re-investigate the Bitcoin case. I have constituted SIT under CID. He said that we will do the related orders of the government.
