Siliguri: On 15.4.2022, Siliguri Police Library “BOI-BARI” was inaugurated at Mallaguri Police Lines by Mr. Gaurav Sharma IPS, CP Siliguri, in the presence of other superior officers and the following dignitaries.
Mr. Pranab Kumar Mishra, Principal Surya Sen College; Mrs. Durba Brahma, Head Mistress, Rabindranath Girls High School; Mr. Utpal Dutta , Headmaster, Siliguri Boys High School; Mr. Samsul Alam , Headmaster Muraliganj High School; and Mr. Ashis Kumar Roy , Asst. teacher of Narasinha High School.
BOI BARI is a library for police personnel & their families. Esteemed members of Samman-er-baari will also be our library members.
The library houses books relating to facts, fiction, science, education and story books as well as comics for the children, all free of cost. The fleet of the books will be increased in due course of time.
Besides, the aspirants of different competitive examinations can also have access to this library after applying to DCP Headquarters.
The “BOI BARI” will be open through-out the week and the visiting hours will be from 12 noon to 08 pm daily.
We encourage reading and education. Books are the best companions in solitude and the surest ways to freedom of thought and expression.
