Kurnool: District SP Mr. G. Krishnakanth IPS conducted an unannounced inspection at the Sunkesula border check post on the Andhra-Telangana border in Kurnool District. He emphasized the need for heightened vigilance at district border check posts due to the upcoming Telangana state elections and stressed the importance of stringent measures to prevent smuggling. In light of the Election Code in effect in Telangana, Mr. Krishnakanth underscored the significance of thwarting the illegal transportation of cash, liquor, and other items that could influence voters. He directed the police personnel at the check post to exercise extra vigilance and conduct thorough checks of every vehicle. Additionally, the district SP provided specific instructions to sales tax officials, SEB police, and local police. He was accompanied by Kurnool Town DSP Vijayshekhar and Kodumur CI Mansuruddin during the inspection.
