Virudhunagar: Marimuthu (25), a resident of Viswanantham area near Sivakasi, Virudhunagar district, sexually harassed a 9-year-old girl from the same area. The girl told her parents about this. Shocked to hear this, the girl’s parents informed the district child protection office. Child Welfare Officer Ms. Shanti led the investigation. Officer Shanti filed a complaint at the Sivakasi All Women Police Station as it was revealed that the girl had been victimized from the investigation that was conducted. The polic arrested Marimuthu, a youth who sexually harassed the girl, under the POCSO Act.
