Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu: In view of the upcoming Assembly elections, a flag march was conducted to strengthen public confidence and ensure peaceful polling in the Nanguneri constituency of Tirunelveli district.
The flag march was jointly carried out by personnel of the Border Security Force and the district police on the evening of March 10, 2026, in the areas of Perumpattu and Manjankulam villages. The procession commenced from the Perumpattu outpost and moved through key localities to reassure residents and maintain law and order during the election period.
The march was led by District Superintendent of Police Prasannakumar, IPS, along with Assistant Commandant Basant Yadav of the Border Security Force. Around 85 BSF personnel participated in the parade.
Also present during the event were Darsika Natarajan, Deputy Superintendent of Police of Nanguneri, Taluk Officer Balakrishnan, and other police personnel. The initiative aimed to enhance voter confidence and ensure a safe and orderly election environment.
