<![CDATA[NEW DELHI: A burglary bid was foiled by police in east Delhi's Mandoli early on Friday, even as one of the accused shot at a policemen when he noticed the Police approaching their car. According to Police at 2.15am one of the residents of Ram Nagar Extension saw that one white Innova parked outside a shop on Mandoli Road and while one person was trying to open the shutter of the shop, another was keeping a watch. He also noticed that more persons were present inside the car. Following a call, a team reached the spot in a few minutes and parked their gypsy in front of the Innova. As Mr. Mustak Khan and Mr. Yogender got down from their vehicle to confront the suspects, they reversed the car and fired a shot at the two policemen. As the accused were fleeing the police fired at the car and two officers chased them on a bike. The officers, however, lost site of the car a little ahead. Police are scanning CCTV footage to identify the accused. A case under various sections has been registered and a search is on for the suspects, said DCP (Shahdara) Nupur Prasad.]]>
