Dindigul: In Dindigul, a car carrying 500 kg of smuggled Gutka intended for sale in Natham area was intercepted by the police. The Inspector of Natham Police Station led the operation, resulting in the arrest of three individuals involved in the smuggling. During a surprise raid at a coconut godown on Ayyapatti Road, the illegal stash of 500 kg Gutka, banned by the government, was discovered in the car. Sudhakar (35) from Uralipatti, Mohammad Isaaq (34), and Jahangir (37) from Nadhat were apprehended, and both the Gutka and the car were confiscated. The police are currently searching for the escaped car driver named Rahul and Nagaraj. Investigations are underway to determine the source of the Gutka and its intended destination.
