Hyderabad: On November 6, 2023, at 12:30 hours, a complaint was received from Mr. L. Srinivas Goud, son of Kondaiah, aged 60, and Occupation Division President (Congress Party), residing in Azadnagar, Amberpet, Hyderabad. He reported that while canvassing for MLA Shaik Akbar on behalf of the Congress Party, they faced interference on November 6, 2023, at 09:35 AM. Mr. Fahad and his associates, affiliated with the AIMIM Political Party, obstructed their campaign in Pedda Bazar, Indira Nagar, Moosaramabagh Division. They not only issued threats and dire consequences but also chanted slogans against Mr. Shaik Akbar, impeding the canvassing efforts of their followers. The complaint emphasized the risk posed to the safety of MLA Shaik Akbar and his supporters due to physical threats. Mr. L. Srinivas Goud urged authorities to take legal action against Mr. Fahad and his associates.
In response to the complaint, a case was registered and taken up for investigation. On November 8, 2023, Malakpet Police served a notice under Section 41(A) of the Criminal Procedure Code to Fahad Bin Mohammed, son of Late Mohammed Bin Salam, aged 44, and engaged in business, residing in Indira Nagar, Moosarambagh, Malakpet, Hyderabad. The case is currently under investigation.
