Kohima: As part of the annual CCTNS capacity building plan for 2024, a ‘CCTNS Application Role-Based Training (Enhanced with New Criminal Laws)’ was conducted from July 23rd to 25th, 2024, at the Police Headquarters(PHQ) for police stations under Kohima DEF, Tseminyu DEF, and three State-Level Police Stations under CID. A total of 16 participants attended the training, including 3 UBSIs, 1 ABSI, 9 ASIs, 1 LDA, 1 Computer Operator, and 1 Constable.
CCTNS, an ICT project for the police by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, aims at the computerization of police processes, nationwide integration, and data sharing of crime and criminal information. The project covers all 36 States and Union Territories in India, encompassing 17,066 police stations as of now. CCTNS is operational in all 84 Police Stations in the State.
