Rachakonda: On, Saturday, 31st December, Mr. D.S. Chauhan IPS., took over the charge as the Commissioner of Police Rachakonda. He presided over the introductory meeting with the Police officers of Rachakonda, held at Neredmet. At the outset, the new Commissioner thanked the Telangana Government for giving the opportunity to serve the people of Rachakonda Commissionerate and added that as per the Government’s priority, he along with the team Rachakonda, would strive to ensure the safety and security of citizens and peace and tranquillity in the area. All the senior officers of Rachakonda Police were present on the occasion, attended the meeting and extended their wishes, promising to work hard as a team to ensure the general atmosphere of safety and security.
He further instructed the officers to take up all the required security arrangements and give no scope for any sort of untoward incidents, during the New Year celebrations, within the limits of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate. He cautioned that the youth and general public would gather on the roads to celebrate till midnight and hence directed the officers to deploy sufficient staff to monitor the celebrations with special focus on women safety. The Commissioner advised the citizens to follow the precautions and instructions released by the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate.
