Guwahati, Assam: A team from Satgaon Police Station, City Police Department (CGPD) successfully solved an ATM battery theft case reported at Panjabari through technical analysis and sustained investigation. During the probe, the case was also linked to a similar ATM battery theft reported in the Basistha police station limits, revealing a wider theft network.
Based on credible leads and interrogation, the police arrested six accused persons and conducted a raid at a scrap dump yard in Birubari, leading to the recovery of stolen property.

* Sanjib Baishya alias Babu
* Rafikul Ali
* Momir Ali
* Abdul Malek
Recovered items:
* 8 stolen ATM batteries
* Brass metal items
* Electrical wires
Legal proceedings have been initiated against the accused. The swift detection and recovery underline CGPD’s effective use of technology and coordinated fieldwork to curb organized theft and protect public infrastructure.
