Champawat, Uttarakhand: In a major breakthrough towards building a drug-free Uttarakhand, the Champawat District Police, under its Zero Tolerance Policy, carried out a significant anti-drug operation. A joint team from Tanakpur Police Station and the STF Kumaon Unit successfully arrested two smugglers and seized 4.030 kg of illegal hashish, estimated to be worth approximately ₹8 lakh in the illegal market.
Among the arrested are one Indian national from Uttarakhand and one Nepali citizen, highlighting the cross-border nature of the smuggling network.
This proactive action reinforces the strong stance taken by the Champawat District Police against narcotics and criminal activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.
