Chandigarh: A case with FIR No. 276 dated 10.12.2019 was registered on the complaint of Mr. Aijaz Ahmed son of Hazi Abdul Sattar Resident of No. 709/19 BDC Sector-26 Chandigarh, on 9.12.19 between 03.00 AM to 08.30 AM against an unknown person for theft of four mobile phones and the details of the stolen phones are I Phone XS, I Phone 7, Nokia 7.1 and Honor from his house block no 709/19 BDC Sector-26, Chandigarh.
During the course of the investigation, the police received a piece of secret information and accordingly a team comprising SI Mr.Gurmeet Singh I/C PP BDC & others under the supervision of SHO-26, Chandigarh was constituted. The team has arrested the accused from near public toilet transport area sector-26 Chandigarh with the help of Master Technical Cell and has recovered four stolen mobile phones from his possession.
The accused was identified as Komil allies Komla Son of Sewa Ram who is a Resident of No 174 PH-1 BDC Sector-26 Chandigarh aged 20 years, the background of the accused is a criminal nature with the number of theft cases already been registered against him in various police station. The accused has been produced before the court today and sent to judicial custody. The investigation is in progress.
