Chandigarh: On 31.5.2020, firing incidence took place at Kothi No. 1378 n Sector-33 Chandigarh at Mr. Rakesh Singla’s house. Complainant Mr. Arvind Singla S/o Late Pawan Singla R/o H.No 1150 Sec. 33 CHD Age 40 Years stated in his statement that he is residing at given address he is a Liquor contractor. He is having Wine Shops in Chandigarh and Punjab. He has been provided Security from Punjab Police and has deputed private security guard at his residence on 31.5.2020 at around 5.30 PM. Unknown boys came to his residence and enquired about him but the guard did not disclose his presence. All the boys left the premises in the Ford Ikon car. After some time his mother Mrs. Usha informed from their residence Kothi No. 1378 Sec 33 telephonically that some unknown boys entered their premises and fired upon his brother Rakesh Singla with the intension to kill. He reached at Kothi No. 1378 Sec 33 and he came to know that in the firing Rakesh Singla escaped unhurt but Due to the firing of the car, Discovery with registration No. CH 01 BM 3325 got damaged.
On the above basis complaint a case with FIR No. 102 dated 31.5.2020 under section 452,307,34 IPC and 25/27/54/59 Arms Act were registered at Police Station-34 Chandigarh. During the investigation of the case CCTV footage of the nearby CCTV cameras was obtained and scrutinized. On 2.6.2020, vehicle No PB-12 M-7744 Ford Ikon which was used for committing Crime was seen in the CCTV footage, which was recovered. On 3.6.2020 the accused Sewak allies Gursewak S/o Jarnail Singh resident of H No. 7, IInd Floor Nice Apartments Shivalik Vihar Patiala Road Zirakpur Punjab was arrested. From his possession one Country made pistol and 8 live cartridges were recovered. His vehicle Creta No. PB 65-T 1422 was also seized. The accused Gursewak allies Sewak was produced in Hon’ble Court and 5 days police remand was obtained accordingly. During his interrogation which was conducted on 6.6.2020 One Cell Phone, Dongle (JIO) was recovered on his identification. The accused Karan Sharma allies Guri S/o Vijay Sharma Resident of Lohara Colony Gali No. 2 near Rohru Saheb Gurudwara, Ludhiana Punjab was arrested on the same day. On 7.6.2020 accused Karan Sharma allies Guri was produced in Hon’ble Court and 5 days police remand was obtained accordingly.
On 09.6.2020 Accused Deepak allies Deepu Banur S/o Rakesh Kumar Resident of Khatik Mohalla, Banur Patiala Punjab who was arrested and a case with FIR No. 103 dated 3.6.2020 under section 25/54/59 Arms Act & 188, 120B IPC was registered at Police Station-34 Chandigarh after he was brought on production warrant from Central Jail Ambala Haryana. During his interrogation, it came on record that he was using Cell Phone during his confinement at Central Jail Ambala Haryana. He was making calls on What’s App to Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and shooters who committed the above-cited crime in Sector-33 Chandigarh. During the search of Central Jail Ambala Haryana, the SIM Card used by the accused Deepak allies Deepu was recovered. Accused Kulwinder Singh allies Kala Resident of Village Sarangpur UT Chandigarh who was on police remand in Case FIR No. 103 dated 3.6.2020 U/s 25/54/59 Arms Act & 188 IPC PS-34 Chandigarh was arrested. Kulwinder Singh allies Kala who provided shelter and harbored the accused after committing the crime to the Gangster and provided Cartridges to the Gangsters/Shooters involved in Sector-33 firing was arrested and 5 days police remand was obtained accordingly.
On dated 14.6.2020, Accused Deepak allies Deepu Banur S/o Rakesh Kumar Resident of Khatik Mohalla Banur Mohali Punjab who was arrested in Case FIR No. 102 Dated 31.05.2020 U/s 452,307,34 IPC adds 120-B,212 IPC & 25/27-54-59 Arms Act PS 34 UT Chandigarh accordingly and 5 days police remand was obtained accordingly.
During the investigation on the intervening night 17/18.06.18, during interrogation accused Deepak allies Deepu disclosed that “he arranged the weapons for the shooters. He told Gurpreet allies Goldy and Sunny Ghumana to take the weapons from Sahab Singh allies Sabha resident of Village Banur District. Patiala Punjab and provide the same to the shooters.” On this information, a raid was conducted at Village Banur District. Patiala Punjab, where Sahab Singh allies Sabha had apprehended and interrogates. During interrogation, Sahab Singh allies Sabha disclosed that he has hidden one pistol and cartridges in forest area Sector 50 Chandigarh in front of Gau Shala Sector 45 UT Chandigarh and two pistol and some cartridges were given to Gurpreet allies Goldy and Sunny Ghumana before a few days ago. On the disclosure statement of accused Sahba Singh allies Sabha, One pistol along with two magazines and 14 live cartridges of .9 MM recovered from Forest area Sector 50 Chandigarh in front of Gau Shala Sector 45 UT Chandigarh. Meanwhile, secret information received from an informer that Shiva and Lucky will meet Rajinder Singh an employee of MC Chandigarh to discuss the matter of bail at Maloya and they will come from Dhanas Road. On this information, the Police party laid a trap near Radha Swami Sat-Sang Bhawan Trun Village Maloya UT Chandigarh. As per the information after some time, two youngsters came from dumping ground side on Motorcycle, on seeing the Police Naka they suddenly tried to stop their motorcycle but after applying sudden breaks the Motorcycle skid on the road and the number of the motorcycle were found to be CH 01 AG 7479. They challenged the police party and took out their weapons to give them a free escape route. On this, they were challenged and were asked to surrender after some heated words they put down their weapons on the road and surrendered. The Police party apprehended both the persons who disclosed their names as Shiva Veeran allies Shiva and Param Dutt allies Lucky and recovered one pistol along with two magazines each having 7 live cartridges of .32 bore from Shiva Veeran allies Shiva and one pistol along with two magazines each having 7 live cartridges from Param Dutt, as they have been arrested today only. Further investigation of the case is under process.
