Chennai: The Chennai Metropolitan Police Commissioner has launched a scheme to provide buttermilk to traffic police officers ahead of the summer. To quench the thirst of the Chennai Metropolitan Traffic Police during the summer season, a scheme has been implemented to provide buttermilk to the traffic police personnel for four consecutive months from March 2012 to June every year.
Following this, Chennai Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mr. Sankar Jiwal, IPS, today on 1.3.2022 presented the buttermilk to the traffic police officers at the EVK Sampath Road x EVRA Road junction. The price of one packet of whey per day is Rs.4.95 for the buttermilk supply scheme and Buttermilk is served to the guards both in the morning and in the evening.
Additional Commissioner of Traffic Police Mr. Kapil Kumar was present on the occasion. Mr. C. Sarathkar, IGP, Joint Commissioner of Traffic (South) Mr. S. Rajendran, IGP, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Mr. Omprakash Meena, ICP, and Police Officers were present.
