Karnataka, Chikkamagaluru: In a poignant ceremony held in Chikkamagaluru District, the Superintendent of Police, accompanied by officials from the State Bank of India (SBI), made a significant presentation to Smt. Asha, the widow of Head Constable Shri Mallikarjun C. N. The officials handed over a cheque for Rs 50 lakh, an act of compassion and support following the tragic loss of her husband, who lost his life in a road accident on April 9, 2024.
This financial aid is part of the SBI Police Salary Package, a specialized initiative aimed at providing crucial assistance to the families of police personnel who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving the community. The SBI Police Salary Package not only underscores the bank’s commitment to the welfare of police families but also highlights the broader appreciation for the sacrifices made by law enforcement officers in maintaining public safety and order.
The ceremony served as a solemn reminder of the risks that police officers face daily and the need for community support during such challenging times. It also reaffirmed the bond between the police department and financial institutions like SBI, working collaboratively to ensure that the families of fallen heroes receive the necessary resources to help them navigate their grief and maintain stability in their lives. Through this gesture, both the police and SBI have demonstrated their commitment to honor the memory of Shri Mallikarjun C. N. and to support Smt. Asha during her time of mourning.
