Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao has decorated police personnel with medals, gave away Telangana Excellence Awards to All India Service Officers and cash awards to 12 employees at the State-level under State Employees Incentive Scheme for their outstanding work during 2016-17 at the Independence Day celebrations. The IPS officers who were decorated with Police Medals are Additional DGP, Law and Order, Mr. Anjani Kumar, Director General of Police Mr. Rajiv Ratan, OSD (retired), DIG, Vigilance and Enforcement Mr. N.Suryanarayana and Additional Commissioner of Police Mr. M. Shiva Prasad. The other recipients were Mr. T.Sharath Babu (Retd), Additional SP, CID, Hyderabad, Nilagiri Divya Charan Rao, Addl DCP, Traffic, Cyberabad, T.Sudharshan, DSP, ACB, Karimnagar, Vuppu Thirupathi, ACP, Mahakali PS, Hyderabad, M.Ramana Kumar, ACP, Madhapur, M.Venkat Rao, RI, ISW, Hyderabad, P.Madhusudhan Reddy, SI, SIB, Intelligence, Hyderabad, Shavili Prem Raj (Retd), ASI, Communications, ISW, Hyderabad, Syed Yousufuddin, RSI, Nalgonda, G.Laxmaiah, head constable, SB, Cyberabad, A.Damodar Reddy, head constable, Counter Intelliegence Cell, Hyderabad and Sidda Sadanandam, ARPC, Warangal. Sub-inspector of police D.Siddaiah and police constable C.Nagaraju were awarded police medals posthumously. Chief Minister gave away State Excellence Awards to four officers of All India Service — Ms.Vakati Karuna, for successful implementation of KCR Kits programme, R.S.Praveen Kumar, for running social welfare residential schools efficiently and mentoring several students in their career, C.V.Anand for increasing efficiency of Public Distribution System and Md.Shafifullah for establishing minority residential schools. The following were the State Excellence Awards bagged by State government employees under innovation, general and flagship schemes: Innovation: Janagaon Collector A. Devasena (Individual category), Jyothi Buddha Prakash, R.V.Karnan, Anurag Jayanti (Group) and HMDA Commissioner T.Chiranjeevulu (Project). General: Nizamabad Collector Yogita Rana (Individual), Bhupalapalli Collector A. Murali, DMHO A. Appayya (Group) and Jagityal Collector A. Sharath (Paddy procurement). Flagship programmes: Siddipet Collector Venkatrama Reddy for Mission Bhagiratha, Bhadradri-Kothagudem Collector R.G.Hanumanthu for Mission Kakatiya, Adilabad Collector Jyothi Buddha Prakash for Kalyana Lakshmi and Shadi Mubarak, Suryapet Collector Surendra Mohan and Warangal Rural Collector Prashanth J. Patil for Haritha Haaram and Nalgonda Collector Gaurav Uppal for Arogya Lakshmi. State Employees Incentive Scheme: Group I: Associate Professor in Osmania Medical College C.H. Madhusudhan, DPO Siddipet Suresh Babu, and DRDO Vikarabad P.W. Johnson. Group II: RDO Hyderabad K. Chandrakala, Head Master in Ranga Reddy district G.Viswanadham Gupta and mandal planning and statistical officer in Peddapalli district Rameenuddin Ahmed. Group III: Staff nurse in Mahabubnagar M. Jayamma, panchayat secretary in Warangal Rural K.Prakash and PA to CPRO in I&PR Department D. Shankar Kumar. Group IV: Cycle orderly in Women and Child Welfare Department in Secretariat B. Dasarath, office subordinate in Kamareddy district K.Gangaiah and office subordinate in Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district K.Kistaiah. The first three best employees in each category were awarded cash prize of ₹5 lakh, ₹3 lakh and ₹2 lakh respectively.
