st October the Chief Minister of Karnataka Mr. H.D. Kumaraswamy proposed the revised pay scale for police personnel. Speaking on Police Commemoration Day at the KSRP parade ground in Koramangala, he said the salary given to police personnel was low in Karnataka when compared to other States. The government is committed to providing financial stability to policemen who work day and night to maintain law and order. He said that the State government is committed to implementing the ADGP Mr. Raghavendra Auradkar Report on revised pay scale for police personnel. A comprehensive report submitted by Mr. Auradkar on the salary, perks and working conditions of the State police in comparison with their counterparts of seven States has been tabled for implementation. The gross salary of constables will go from Rs.25, 000 a month to around Rs.32, 000 if the report is implemented. ]]>
