Chikkaballapur, Karnataka, Sept. 6: The Chikkaballapur Town Police have successfully cracked a major house burglary case reported on September 4, 2025, at Kuvempu Nagar, near Basaveshwara Temple. The burglary occurred in broad daylight when the house owner had gone out, and the miscreants made away with gold ornaments and cash.
Based on the complaint, a case was registered at the Chikkaballapur Town Police Station (Crime No.111/2025, under IPC 305, 454, 380). Acting swiftly, the police team, under the guidance of District Superintendent of Police Dr. Sharanappa S.D., Additional SP C.K. Shashidhar, DySP (Chikkaballapur Sub-Division) Jagannath Ramaswamy, and Circle Inspector Mahesh Kumar, tracked down the accused within hours.
The arrested accused has been identified as Manoj Kumar, 27, a resident of Gollahalli village, Sidlaghatta taluk. The police recovered stolen property including gold ornaments weighing 60 grams, silver articles weighing 0.9 kg, and ₹10,000 in cash.
The operation was successfully carried out by Police Sub-Inspector Ranjitha and her team, who traced and apprehended the accused with efficiency. The prompt detection of the case has been widely appreciated by senior officers, who praised the efforts of the investigating team in ensuring public confidence and safety.
