Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka, July 5: In a commendable community outreach effort, the Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) of Rural Police Station visited Bekanahalli Morarji Desai Residential High School in Chikkamagaluru Taluk today to engage with students on critical issues related to child safety.
During the interactive session, students were sensitized about the Child Marriage Prohibition Act, the POCSO Act, and the growing threats of cybercrime. The officer also highlighted the importance of emergency services, encouraging students to use the 112 helpline for immediate assistance in distress situations.
The session was well-received by students and staff alike, and reflects the Chikkamagaluru Police’s continued commitment to protecting children and empowering youth through education and awareness.
