Siliguri: On this day, the dedicated team of Women PS from the Siliguri Police Commissionerate took the initiative to organize an impactful and essential awareness program called “Swayangsiddha” at Krishnamaya High School. The primary focus of this program was to educate and enlighten the young minds of the school about crucial topics like Child marriage, Child rights, Good touch, and Bad touch.
The event kicked off with the Women PS team addressing the gathering of enthusiastic students. With great fervor and dedication, they elaborated on the grave issue of Child marriage and its harmful consequences. They emphasized the importance of recognizing and upholding the rights of every child, ensuring that their voices are heard, and their well-being is safeguarded.
Furthermore, the team sensitively tackled the topic of Good touch and Bad touch, aiming to equip the students with knowledge that would empower them to protect themselves and seek help if ever faced with uncomfortable situations. This segment of the program was handled with utmost care and age-appropriate language, ensuring that the children could understand the message without feeling overwhelmed.
