Coimbatore: On the orders given by the Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police Mr. Selvanagaratnam IPS, IGP the Coimbatore District Police made a thorough raid of the entire district. During the raid:
Under the Prohibition case, the Coimbatore district police arrested 26 persons for selling liquor illegally and confiscated 46 bottles and 135 liters of liquor from them.
Under snatching case, the Pollachi West Police arrested the miscreant while he was on patrol and confiscated cell phone-1 and Rs.1500 / – from him and lodged a case.
Under the Cannabis case, the Police on patrol at Periyanayakanpalayam and Tadagam police arrested a person who was illegally selling cannabis and confiscated about 1.100 kg from him.
Under the Gambling case, the Coimbatore district police arrested 22 people for gambling and seized Rs 67,100 from them during a raid.
