Palakkad: On November 2, 2023, at 7:30 pm in Pattambi Nila Hospital, a young man with a severe neck injury was brought on a motorcycle by a person and he tragically succumbed to his injuries upon revealing the information about the cause of the grievous injury and the person responsible for it. PC Haridas swiftly arrived at the scene within 5 minutes, taking charge of the investigation and promptly initiating the gathering of information about the assailant. Under the leadership of Chalissery Inspector Satish Kumar and the collaborative efforts of the crime squad, all pertinent details, including images, of the suspect were assembled in just 20 minutes. Within two hours of the incident, the implicated individual attempting to flee was apprehended in Mullurkara, Thrissur district.
A pivotal moment in the case occurred when the district police chief, upon arriving at the scene, personally interrogated the suspect. Subsequently, by analyzing the information obtained, the authorities discovered the victim of the next murder committed by the suspect near Bharathapuzha while the suspect was in custody. DySP Mr. Haridas coordinated the efforts of all inspectors, sub-inspectors, and investigating officers within the Sub-Division, ensuring a collaborative approach.
During a raid led by Trithala ISHO Vijayakumaran, a significant amount of 301.090 grams of MDMA, an unaccounted sum of Rs.4,82,700/-, and 302 Omani Rials were recovered from a teddy bear within the suspect’s residence. Additionally, the Digital Tas used for selling MDMA, found in the house’s car, was confiscated in Bantawassil under the direction of the District Police Chief. He extended his commendations and congratulations. The arrested suspect was identified as a major drug agent in the Trithala region.
