Tirunelveli: On August 23, 2024, at the Egmore Rajaratnam Sports Stadium in Chennai, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu presented the President of India Medals, Union Home Minister Medals, and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Medals to members of the Police Department for their exceptional work. District Crime Branch Police Inspector Muthu received both the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Anna Medal and the Union Home Minister’s Medal, while Valliyur Police Inspector Bachamal was awarded the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Anna Medal for his outstanding contributions on behalf of the Tirunelveli District Police Department. Deputy Superintendent of Police, Tirunelveli, Dr. Murthy, IPS, and Tirunelveli District Superintendent of Police, N. Silambarasan, IPS, personally called and congratulated them.
