Hyderabad, Telangana, October 31, 2025: In a touching and dignified ceremony, Hyderabad City Police Commissioner Shri V.C. Sajjanar, IPS, who also retired from distinguished service today, felicitated and bid farewell to 13 police officers under the Hyderabad City Police Commissionerate. The retiring personnel included 5 Sub-Inspectors, 7 Assistant Sub-Inspectors, and 1 Head Constable, all of whom have rendered decades of dedicated service to the department.

During the retirement farewell meeting, Commissioner Shri Sajjanar, IPS, commended the officers for their exemplary service and commitment throughout their careers, which spanned between 35 and 42 years. He lauded their significant contributions during critical periods — including the days of united Andhra Pradesh, the Telangana movement, and the COVID-19 crisis — highlighting their unwavering dedication to maintaining peace and order in the state.

“Your tireless service, courage, and discipline have ensured the safety and stability of our society. Our state remains peaceful today because of officers like you. I am deeply proud of your contributions,” Shri Sajjanar said.

Extending his best wishes on behalf of the Hyderabad City Police, he encouraged the retirees to lead a healthy, happy, and active life post-retirement.

“Your second innings should be filled with joy and purpose. Spend quality time with your families, take care of your health, and stay active. Continue to contribute positively to your communities,” he advised.

Commissioner Sajjanar also urged the officers and their families to remain vigilant against cyber frauds and financial scams, emphasizing the need to invest retirement benefits safely in reliable government institutions like banks and post offices. He cautioned against falling prey to fraudulent schemes promising unrealistic profits and noted that cybercriminals often target retirees.

He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the family members of the retiring officers, acknowledging their silent support and sacrifices that enabled the officers to serve the department with dedication.

“Your families are your strength. Their support has been invaluable to your success and well-being,” he added.

Concluding the ceremony, Commissioner Sajjanar extended his blessings and warm wishes to all the retiring officers for a peaceful, healthy, and fulfilling life ahead, describing their services to the police department as “unforgettable and deeply respected.”

The event was attended by Shri Tafseer Iqbal, IPS (Joint Commissioner of Police – Law & Order), Smt. J. Parimala Hana Nutan, IPS (Joint Commissioner of Police – Administration), and Police Officers’ Association President Shri Shankar Reddy, along with other senior officers and members of the association.
