Tamil Nadu, Sivagangai: Rajeswari (65), wife of K.P. Arumugam from Kallathi village under the jurisdiction of Kalaiyarkovil police station in Sivagangai district, reported to the Kalaiyarkovil police station that she had misplaced her bag while purchasing vegetables at the Kalaiyarkovil weekly market today.
In connection with this, Nithiya (30), a resident of Neduwatthavu village under the same police station limits, found the bag and handed it over to the Kalaiyarkovil police station. The bag, containing Rs. 50,000 in cash and a 2-pound gold chain, was safely returned to Rajeswari.
Commending Nithiya’s honesty, Kalaiyarkovil Police Inspector Muthupandi appreciated her efforts and honored her by presenting a gold shawl as a token of recognition.
