KOCHI – A CRPF Assistant Commandant was killed when he was shot by a jawan who was under the influence of alcohol. The deceased CRPF Officer was identified as Mr.Shahul Harshan aged 28 and he belonged to Aluva, Kerala. He had his final conversation with his family in Aluva on Monday.
But after a very brief period of 24 hours, Mr. Shahul’s family members received shocking and sad news about the tragic death of Mr.Shahul. The family ‘S.S. Bhavan’ which is located at Souhruda Nagar on the Police Station Road was filled with gloom on hearing the shocking sad news. Even his neighbors received the news.
The slain CRPF officer was a B.Tech graduate, He had last visited home during the Onam celebrations. He is survived by father Balan, mother Leela, and a sister.
His body will be flown to the Cochin International Airport on Wednesday.
