<![CDATA[NEW DELHI: Police officers helped a 76-year-old woman who was displaced from her house in southeast Delhi's New Friends Colony by her son. He had sold off her property without informing her. The woman was forced to vacate and was found to be staying at a hotel near Greater Kailash. Police say that a case has been registered against the son. Police have also been looking after the woman. In her complaint, Savita Sharma told police that she had inherited the house at New Friends Colony after her husband's death and was staying with her youngest son, Samir. However, on September 12, Samir forced her to leave the house with some clothes saying that he had sold off the house. Savita said that she was a heart patient and needed constant monitoring. When she refused to move out, he packed her belongings and asked her to leave. Sharma said that she managed to reach Greater Kailash and hire a hotel and has been staying there since then.]]>
