Punjab, Amritsar: In a major success against illegal arms networks, the Counter Intelligence unit of Amritsar arrested Jodhbir Singh, a resident of Nowshehra, Tarn Taran, during a special investigation operation.
During the arrest, officers recovered five illegal pistols from his possession, including two PX5 pistols, one 30-bore pistol (Star Mark), and two 9mm Glock pistols.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that Jodhbir Singh was in contact with a drug smuggler operating from Pakistan, who was responsible for supplying illegal weapons into India.
An FIR has been registered at the State Special Operations Cell (SSOC), Amritsar, and further investigations are underway to identify and apprehend other associates involved in the network.
