Hyderabad: On 23.10.2021, Hyderabad SHE Teams celebrated its 7th Anniversary. As part of this, CP Hyderabad inaugurated “SAAT – SAATH Ab Aur Bhi Pas” in presence of Addl. CP(Crimes&SIT), a new citizen outreach initiative, to come closer to the community by setting up an extension center of SHE Teams, exclusively every Wednesday at WPS South Zone, Ghansi Bazaar.
On other days, Citizens can continue availing the facility of SHE Teams at HACA Bhavan, Nampally as before.; SHE Teams were launched on 24th October 2014 in Hyderabad City. These teams were formed keeping in view the Telangana Govt's vision for a safe and secure environment for women.
With the successful impact created by SHE Teams, the concept is replicated not only to the entire Telangana state but also many other states like Kerala, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh to name a few. Speaking on the occasion, Addl. CP Crimes Crimes& SIT, I/C SHE Teams & Bharosa, stated that the trust of the citizens on SHE Teams itself is the motivation to work more, resulting in resounding success of SHE Teams.
She further appealed to the citizens to approach SHE Teams, without any fear and that their identity will be kept confidential. CP Hyderabad conveyed his best wishes to all the staff of SHE Teams for their teamwork and successful contribution to Hyderabad City in making it a Safest City.
He applauded the SHE Teams, the first of its kind initiative of Hyderabad City Police as it addressed more than 8000 victims and their families, wherein 687 FIRS were registered, 723 Petty cases were filed and 942 Redhanded cases booked. He attributed this to the courageous women who came forward to report the crime.
The event was attended by Jt.CP EastZone(I/C DCP Southzone), Addl.DCP SHE Teams & Bharosa, Addl.DCP South Zone among other officers.
