Ernakulam Rural: The Ernakulam Rural District Police organized a cricket tournament as part of their efforts to raise awareness about drug addiction. Led by District Police Chief Dr. Vaibhav Saxena IPS, the Ernakulam District Police emerged victorious, defeating Aluva in the final match held at Turut Goat Club Turf. The tournament, inaugurated by the Superintendent of Police, saw participation from various police officers, administrative staff, and others. Teams representing Media Club, IMA (comprising doctors), and Kaladi Adi Shankara Engineering Institute also took part. Perumbavoor ASP Mohit Rawat IPS was honored as the Man of the Series, while Dr. Ajeesh from IMA received recognition as the best batsman, and Vinu Vijayan of the Police team was lauded as the best bowler. Dr. Ashok Kumar presented the trophy to the winning police team. Additionally, a bicycle rally aimed at combating drug addiction was held from Aluva to Nedumbassery, attracting over 100 participants. Further events are planned for the near future.
