Rachakonda: Commissioner Mr. Sudhir Babu IPS of Rachakonda emphasized the implementation of stringent measures to maintain peace and security, advising against police involvement in civil disputes. In a special review meeting at the Commissioner’s office in Nared Met, he directed DCPs, Additional DCPs, ACPs, and inspector-level officers to focus on preventing crimes in Rachakonda and bolstering public confidence. The use of technology and CCTV cameras in criminal investigations was encouraged, with a specific directive to pursue and apprehend interstate robbery gangs and monitor the activities of known criminals in the region. The Commissioner stressed the importance of proactive daily patrolling and swift response to victims.
Emphasizing the need for police to refrain from intervening in civil disputes, Commissioner Mr. Sudhir Babu warned of serious consequences for non-compliance with specified procedures. Close collaboration with the public to understand their concerns, prioritizing visible policing, and intensifying patrolling efforts were recommended, including spending at least 15 minutes daily interacting with the community.
The Commissioner underscored the importance of transparency, honesty, and accountability in police duties, urging adherence to legal boundaries and diligent criminal investigation practices to achieve optimal success rates. Special attention was directed towards the welfare and safety of women, with a call to strengthen She Teams. Efforts to combat drug supply and usage were announced, along with awareness programs to protect youth. Increased surveillance on drug activities during New Year celebrations was highlighted.
