Karnataka, Kalaburagi City: In Kalaburagi city, a series of initiatives were organized as part of the Crime Prevention Month celebrations to promote awareness and safety among the community. These programs, held at various police stations as well as in schools and colleges, aimed to educate the public, including students, on a wide range of critical issues. Sessions were conducted to highlight the dangers and preventive measures related to cybercrime, the importance of understanding and reporting crimes under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, adherence to traffic rules to ensure road safety, and strategies to prevent theft. Additionally, participants were informed about the use and significance of the emergency helpline number 112, designed to provide immediate assistance in distress situations. These efforts reflected a comprehensive approach to fostering awareness and building a safer community.
