Bilaspur: The criminal who cheated a software engineer of a multinational company of crores of rupees by giving false promises of marriage, was caught by the police within 48 hours. A case was registered against the accused under the IT Act. The accused was identified as Rohit Jain S/o Ramesh Chandra Jain, 33 years resident of Madhya Pradesh.
The action on cyber crime was taken under the direction of Dr. Sanjeev Shukla (IPS) Inspector General of Police Bilaspur Range Bilaspur and guidance of Rajnesh Singh (IPS) Superintendent of Police Bilaspur.
After joint action of Range Cyber Police Station Bilaspur and ACCU Bilaspur, the police got important success. By increasing acquaintance with the software engineer and giving false promises of marriage, he brain-washed him and cheated him and collected Rs. 01 crore 39 lakh 51 thousand 277. On the basis of bank statement and technical input, the police reached the cunning criminal. Police have frozen around 35 to 40 bank accounts after investigation.
