Dindigul: In Dindigul District, SP Pradeep received confidential information about the illegal storage of Gutka and tobacco products banned by the government in the Dindigul Nagar area. Acting on this tip, ASP Mr. Sibin led a team including Nagar South Police Station Inspector Mohan A, Special Inspector Ravi Shankar, and Constables Senthil, Sandhiaku, Marudu, and Ramachandran in intensive patrolling of the Dindigul Wattalagundu Road area. They apprehended Abu Bakar Siddique (46), son of Kazamaideen, who was hiding Gutka and tobacco products in a car near S.P.T. Mahal on Wattalakundu Road. Authorities seized 500 kg of Gutka and the car used for smuggling. Siddique was taken to Dindigul Nagar South Police Station, where a case was registered, and an investigation is underway.
