Jammu: Marking the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Sunday organized a 75 km-long motorbike rally in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Sardar Patel was the first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of India from 1947 to 1950.
On the eve of 147th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, National Unity Day-2022. GC CRPF Jammu organized a motorcycle rally on 30/10/2002.
In which the Chief Guest Dr. Sujoy Lal Thaosen, IPS, DG CRPF flagged off the Motorcycle Rally. In this event explaining the importance of this day in his address by the Chief Guest, he informed that after Independence Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was given the post of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister, after which his first priority was to include 565 Princely States in India. He completed this difficult task in a peaceful manner with diplomatic and political understanding, due to which India could become a full-fledged Nation. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel had cherished the dream of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, the path of self-reliant India has been prepared by moving forward on it. Remembering the important contribution of the Iron Man, the Statue of Sardar Patel was dedicated to the Nation at Kevadia, Gujarat as a tribute to the Statue of Unity and a huge event is organized every year on 31 October at this place.
The Chief Guest, in his address on this occasion, also apprised about the important role and responsibility of CRPF in maintaining Security and Law and Order in the present scenario. He said that today the whole of India realizes the crucial part played by the CRPF, which is a matter of pride for us. A message was also given to all present by the Chief Guest that we need to work with the same dutifulness in future also so that the pride of the country and the force can be carried forward. In the end, the Chief Guest appreciated the IG Jammu Sector, IG GC CRPF, Jammu for organizing the grand motorcycle rally and flagged off the Motorcycle Rally. In this Rally 200 participants participated and a distance of 75 km was covered by this motorcycle rally.
On this occasion Daljit Singh Chawdhary, IPS, ADG J&K Zone, P.S.Ranpise, IPS, IG Jammu Sector, Rajiv Kumar, IPS, IG (Ops) Dte New Delhi, Amit Kumar Mukhopadhyay, IG (Medical) CH Jammu, Bhanu Pratap Singh IG GC, Jammu and J&K Zone, Jammu Sector HQs, Composite Hospital, Range Office, Group Centre, AWS-IV and B-5/Signal Bn. Officers, Subordinate Officers and Jawans were present.
The above program was successfully organized under the able leadership of Bhanu Pratap Singh, IG, GC Jammu. During the event Gazetted officers, subordinate officers, and jawans of Group Center Jammu actively participated.
