Salem: Mr. Sivaraj (41) of Salem District, Mettur Circle, Periyar Nagar Tangam Model Pattinam, who was contacted from 70 92 84 1125, was deceived into not giving the loan after paying Rs.1, 01,000/-. A complaint petition to take action against the person was registered to recover all the money.
Regarding the above petition on the advice of Mr. M. Sree Abhinav IPS, District Superintendent of Police, under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police, Cybercrime, Mr. Chellappandian, IPS and upon the prompt action by the Salem District Cyber Crime Police Station the money lost by the petitioner was credited back to the petitioner’s bank account on 22.8.2022.
Also don’t share your bank details and OTPs with anyone on phone calls and text messages from unknown people claiming to be from the bank, and if anyone loses money through online fraud, they can immediately contact the Cybercrime Helpline number 1930 and immediately register a complaint on the website. Mr.M.Sree Abhinav IPS, Salem District Superintendent of Police has said that the lost money can be recovered.
