Kerala:The Kerala Police have warned that in today’s age of cyber fraud, even your Google accounts are at risk of being hacked. To protect yourself, follow these guidelines:
Never use your mobile phone number as a password.
Create a password that includes a mix of letters (A-Z, a-z), special characters (!, @, #, $, %, ^, &, *, ?, >, <), and numbers (0-9).
Ensure your password is at least eight characters long.
Only log in to your account on trusted devices.
Remove your account from third-party apps and avoid granting access to untrusted third-party apps.
Activate two-step verification on your Google account for added security.
If you suspect your account has been hacked, check your email immediately for an alert message from your email service provider. Follow the instructions provided and take necessary action.
