Thrissur City: Doctors need to be vigilant about cyber frauds, warned Thrissur City Police Commissioner Mr. Ilango RIPS on Doctors’ Day. This message was conveyed during the 1st July Doctor’s Day celebrations in Thrissur, organized by the Indian Medical Association (IMA). The commissioner noted that significant amounts of money are being lost to cybercrime, with doctors among the victims. He emphasized the importance of following cyber security guidelines and taking precautions. Speaking at the event held at the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Hall on the evening of July 1, the commissioner highlighted the potential risks posed by Artifical Intelligence (AI) in cyber frauds, such as fake gifts from friends, fraudulent parcels, calls from fake officials, fake links, and remote control applications. He urged everyone to adhere to the cyber security instructions issued by the Kerala Police and to contact 1930 immediately if they fall victim to financial crimes.
