Anantapur: The Anantapur Police achieved a significant breakthrough in combating cybercrime by dismantling a nefarious gang engaged in diverting hard-earned money from unsuspecting individuals and unemployed youths to Dubai through cryptocurrency channels. The initiation of this investigation stemmed from a complaint lodged by a victim, leading to the registration of a cybercrime case on November 15, 2023, at the Garladinne Police Station in Ananthapuram.
The meticulous efforts of the police unveiled a sophisticated operation, revealing the existence of 16 counterfeit accounts involved in transactions amounting to a staggering 35.59 crore.
